Smoking Shields was established in 2015 to address the lack of a fraternal organization of law enforcement professionals who shared their passion of enjoying premium cigars and a desire to help our nation’s heroes.
The main purpose of Smoking Shields is to provide financial assistance to law enforcement officers and military personnel, to help them and their families, in a time of need.
Smoking Shields FL was established in 2017 and is comprised of members from all aspects of law enforcement in Tampa Bay. Our chapter is one of 10 chapters in the United States.

Join Smoking Shields FL and JR Cigar Outlet-Tampa on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 6:30 PM for a Tampa Tarpons minor league baseball game at George M. Steinbrenner Field, 1 Steinbrenner Dr. Tampa, FL 33614.
Tickets are $43.00. Click HERE to buy tickets.
That will get you access to the exclusive Fifth Third Club, all you can eat and drink, with an upscale ballpark buffet, Bud Light, Budweiser, and house wine, with the option to purchase premium beer and liquor. Also, a handful of cigars, a hat, and door prizes. There will also be a cigar related raffle and all proceeds will go to Smoking Shields Florida.
If you were able to join us last year, it is in the same room/area along the left field line.

The 2024 Smoker Fundraiser was held on March 9, 2024, at the Cigar Castle in Temple Terrace from 11 AM to 3 PM. Thank you to all the people and businesses that donated items to make this another great event. This year we had 2 TV's to give away due to the generosity of members Carol and Lew Jolly and Angela Yue. Each year we raise more money than the year before. This year we raised over $15,000!

Your Board of Directors has voted to add the status of Life Member to 7 members of Smoking Shields FL. Each of these members has a love for law enforcement and military personnel. They have made a huge impact to our organization by supporting us through donations, their time and of course some of them opened up their "homes" to us.
